The airplane was tremendous! I’ve never been in an airplane before. The only time I would see it was when it flew up high in the air with its wings spread wide ready to explore the world. I still remember how badly I wished I was the one who was traveling in it. However, I didn’t feel the same way about it now that I was actually in there. Worries spread across my mind. What if I don’t make any friends there? What if I can’t catch up with the high standards of education there? Before any other worries popped up in my brain, the person who was sitting on the seat beside me handed me a cup of tea. I turned to face the person and man was I surprised that it was the boy I met at the airport! He had a genuine smile spread across his face. I slowly grabbed the tea he was handing over to me with a quiet, “Thank you.” I’m pretty sure he heard it because I could see him nod gently and sit back in his seat. Oh, how was I supposed to sit there for the whole journey next to this boy? I swear I could feel myself blushing over the thoughtfulness of the boy.

After a couple of hours, I bravely asked the boy. “What’s your name?” I regretted saying that right after because it was surely rude to just go and ask what a stranger’s name was without excusing myself or anything.

But thankfully he answered, “My name is Arthur and I’m thirteen years old,” then asked me back, “What about you?”

“My name is Diana and I’m thirteen years old too!”

“Wow, the same age going to the same place!” he said surprisingly. Then added, “What a coincidence!”

“We’re supposed to be together! We are soulmates! This ain’t a coincidence,” I thought. But of course, I didn’t say it out loud. How embarrassing must it have been if I did?

After our short conversation, we both minded our own business. I got to admit that it was pretty awkward at first but I managed to distract myself away from him by watching the movie I downloaded from home. Well, I guess I did succeed in distracting myself because the next thing I found out was my parents waking me up and saying that we had finally arrived in London.

“Honey get your things ready,” my mom said in an excited voice. I haven’t heard her being that much excited for so many years but living in London seemed to make her jump around and shout with glee like a five-year-old kid.

We landed. Everything after that made me dizzy because we were struggling to get in line with a bunch of people and luggages trying to squeeze between us to get in the line too. After we’d gone through all the checks that were needed we rode a taxi to our house that had been taken care of back when we were in Maryland. The day was tiring and my head was full of all kinds of worries but on the other hand, I was kind of excited as my mom was about life in London so I decided to give it a try!
